Syahrini Comeback After 6 Years, Reveals Reason for Stepping Away from the Stage

Syahrini finally returns to the entertainment stage after six years of hiatus. The wife of Reino Barack chose the Peak Night of SCTV's 36 XtraOrdinary Anniversary as her comeback moment and an opportunity to reconnect with her fans after spending a lot of time with family.

Syahrini expressed that this performance feels special because it is her first stage appearance after six years of not creating. She also feels that returning to the stage this year is like a moment that has its own timing.

"The last time I performed was at SCTV's 30th anniversary, and now it's at the 36th. And coincidentally, I haven't created anything for 6 years, so it fits perfectly this year. Yes, we must believe that every moment has its time, every time has its moment," said Syahrini at the Emtek City Studio, Daan Mogot, West Jakarta, Monday (24/8/2026).

During the six years of hiatus, the singer of "Sesuatu" chose to reduce her activities in the entertainment industry and spend more time with her family. Syahrini mentioned that this period was filled with accompanying her husband, going through pregnancy, and taking care of and raising her child."After the six years I went through, I focused more on... serving my husband, my family, for... You know, COVID was 3 years, giving birth for a year... Being pregnant for a year, giving birth, and then raising the child for 2 years. So, six years, it adds up," said Syahrini.

Returning to the stage after such a long time made Syahrini feel happy. She enjoyed the moment of holding the microphone again, singing, and meeting her fans directly during the SCTV 36th anniversary celebration."Happy. Oh finally... back to the stage, singing, and then meeting fans earlier at SCTV. Amazing," she expressed.

Although now active again in the entertainment world, Syahrini realizes that her life and priorities have changed. The presence of children and family means that her career now has to be adjusted to the life she is currently living."Today's existence definitely has a different portion. Now there are children, there is family. It’s definitely a different portion, not like before. Just adjusting," said Syahrini.

The opportunity to perform at SCTV's 36th anniversary was also used by Syahrini to reconnect with friends in the entertainment industry. She expressed her gratitude for being able to create again and meet with media friends and music industry players after focusing on family for more than six years."It’s just the pleasure of gratitude. Grateful to finally be able to create again, to meet media friends again, and to reconnect with friends in the music industry," she concluded.
