Topan Srimulat Passed Away, Known Through Humor Ketoprak

Sad news comes from the entertainment world in the homeland. Comedian Topan, or H. Topan bin Doel Ghani, passed away on Thursday (27/8/2026) at 12:00 WIB at the age of 71. This figure from Malang, East Java, was widely known through the television comedy stage Humor Ketoprak.

Until the end of his life, Topan lived in Griya Ketapang Permai, Sukoharjo Village, Kepanjen District, Malang Regency. Topan was born in Malang on April 12, 1955. His name is closely associated with the duet with his younger brother, Leysus or Sugeng Winarso, who entered the world of comedy first.

The two then appeared together in several comedy events such as Ronda, Pansus, and Toples Show. On various occasions, they presented themselves as a sibling duo. This duet format continued when they performed in other comedy programs.

In the 1990s, Topan and Leysus became more well-known when they joined Ketoprak Humor on television. The sibling duo became a part of one of the popular comedy programs at that time. Their comedic style was closely associated with East Javanese character.
