Asri Welas Files for Divorce from Husband, Hearing Has Been Held - Requests Child Custody

Kapanlagi.com - Artist Asri Rahmawati, better known as Asri Welas, is filing for divorce from her husband, Galiech Ridha Rahardja. The lawsuit was filed at the Depok Religious Court in West Java on November 5, 2024. This information was confirmed by Samsudin SH, spokesperson for the Depok Religious Court.

"Yes, it's true at the Depok Religious Court, regarding the divorce lawsuit, it has received a registered divorce petition on November 5, 2024, under the name Asri Rahmawati with the defendant Galiech Rida Raharja, as of November 5, 2024," said Samsudin at his office on Tuesday (26/11/2024).

1. Request for Child Custody

She also revealed that the trial process has been ongoing, with the first agenda attended by legal representatives from Asri's side. At the initial hearing, the defendant was absent, so the court rescheduled the trial for November 19, 2024. This hearing also serves as an opportunity for mediation between both parties.

"Then we have summoned the parties to attend the trial at the plaintiff's first hearing represented by legal counsel, while the defendant was absent at that hearing," she said.

"Then we called the trial again on November 19, 2024, for the defendant's summons again, and if they come, it will be for mediation," she added.

Samsudin explained that the Depok Religious Court rescheduled mediation again. Once again, mediation did not take place because the defendant was absent. Therefore, the hearing continued on November 26, 2024.

"Coincidentally, at the third hearing, represented by their respective legal counsels, we scheduled it for mediation. Mediation did not take place because one of the parties was sick and the defendant was unable to attend, so mediation was postponed to today, November 26, 2024, still in the context of mediation," she said.

2. Reluctant to Reveal Divorce Reasons

Samsudin is reluctant to explain the reasons why Asri Welas filed for divorce from her husband. However, he stated that Asri's lawsuit includes custody rights for their three children. "We cannot disclose the contents of the lawsuit yet as it is still in the trial stage; the essence is the request for divorce, child custody, and the division of joint property. The plaintiff, Asri Rahmawati, has three children and wants custody rights for all three," he said.

"Regarding the joint property in the lawsuit, it is stated that an agreement has been reached, so the court is requested to make it legal," he concluded.

Asri and Galiech married in 2007 and were blessed with three sons. Their first child, Rajwa Gilbram Ridha Rahardja, was born in 2009, followed by Rayyan Gibran Ridha Rahardja in 2017, and Renzo Gibrar Ridha Rahardja in 2019. In the lawsuit, Asri is requesting custody of all three of her children.
