Kapanlagi.com - Sheila On 7 greets fans again with their latest single titled Memori Baik. This song marks their first work after six years, following the single Film Favorit released in 2018.
A big surprise in this song is the collaboration between Sheila On 7 and Aishameglio, the daughter of the vocalist, Duta. This collaboration actually came from an idea by Eross, the guitarist of Sheila On 7.
"If Aisha hadn’t performed with Sheila On 7, this song might not have been released," said Duta when met in the Lebak Bulus area, South Jakarta, on Monday (25/11/2024).

The presence of Aishameglio brings a fresh new color to their latest work, although the process is full of adjustments. Duta revealed that collaborating with his daughter had to accommodate Aishameglio's college schedule.
"If the schedule makes it so she can't take exams or anything, that option definitely won't be chosen. So her priority remains college," said Duta.
Even so, he leaves the decision to his daughter after her academic matters are settled. As a father, Duta admits he felt a certain burden.
"If I feel the burden, it's actually as a parent, not as the vocalist of Sheila on 7," he explained.
However, he fully supports Aishameglio's steps in music, especially since this decision is also backed by the other band members. Meanwhile, Adam, the bassist of Sheila on 7, also shared stories about Aishameglio's involvement in this new single.
"As long as the band is happy, then let's go. She can gain work experience, and it's great that she can manage her time, so let's go," said Adam.
The single 'Memori Baik' itself is packaged with the distinctive touch of Sheila on 7 that continues to captivate listeners. Aishameglio's presence in this song is proof of how Sheila on 7 remains relevant and able to engage the younger generation in creating art.
