No Acil Armando, The SIGIT Brings New Song at Joyland 2024 with Dangdut Vibe

Kapanlagi.com - The rock band from Bandung, The SIGIT, successfully became the main attraction on the first day of Joyland Festival 2024 held at GBK Basket Hall Stadium, Senayan, Central Jakarta, Friday (22/11/2024). Many were looking forward to their performance, especially due to the big question regarding who would fill the drummer position after Acil Armando hinted at leaving the band.

That speculation was finally answered when The SIGIT performed on the Plainsong Live Stage around 19:25 WIB. Rekti Yoewono and friends appeared without Acil, but with a temporary replacement for the drum position.

1. Started with the Song Detourn

This moment also became a major highlight, considering Acil was previously one of the core members of the band formed since 2002. The performance set began with the song Detourn, which immediately heated up the festival atmosphere. Followed by Son of Sam, Rekti greeted the audience in his characteristic style.

"Good evening Joyland, let's dance to warm up our bodies, okay," he said from the stage, inviting cheers from the audience that filled the venue.

2. There is a Big Surprise

However, the biggest surprise of the night was the debut of their latest song titled Hateful Mind. This song has unique elements with a rhythm resembling dangdut music, making the audience enthusiastic even though many were not familiar with it. The energetic beat of the song successfully got the audience swaying along.

"We have something new," said Rekti before playing the intro to the song.

3. Sing the Hit Song

To end their set, The SIGIT performed two hit songs, All The Time and Another Day.

"We are out of time, thank you. Enjoy St. Vincent," said Rekti.

4. Acil's Departure Still Remains a Question Mark

Until now, the issue of Acil Armando's departure remains a big question mark. If true, Acil will be the second member to leave the band after Aditya Bagja, their former bassist. The SIGIT has not yet issued an official statement regarding this matter.

In addition to music, the Joyland Festival 2024 also offers a variety of other entertainment. A lineup of comedians such as Musdalifah Basri, Nopek Novian, and Soleh Solihun will also enliven the event at Shrooms Garden. This festival will take place over three days, from November 22 to 24, 2024, promising an unforgettable experience for visitors.
