Kapanlagi.com - The trial of the alleged defamation case with the defendant Ayu Thalia was held again at the North Jakarta District Court. The trial has entered the agenda of reading the interim decision of the panel of judges on Ayu Thalia's exception or objection to the charges from the public prosecutor (JPU).
During the trial, the North Jakarta District Court Panel of Judges rejected the exception submitted by Ayu Thalia's legal team.
"The public prosecutor's indictment has fulfilled both formal and material requirements, therefore, the reasons stated in the defendant's legal counsel's exception cannot be accepted," said Judge Sutaji in the trial on Tuesday (31/5).
In the previous trial, Ayu Thalia was represented by her legal counsel to read the exception or defense note against the prosecutor's charges.
"Therefore, the trial of the defendant Ayu Thalia must continue," added Sutaji.

One of the reasons why Ayu Thalia objects to the prosecutor's charges is the basis of the defamation allegations against Nicholas Sean that are in the mass media coverage.
Therefore, Ayu's legal team mentioned that the settlement of this case must first go to the Press Council.
