Barbie Kumalasari Reports Husband to Authorities for Diamond Theft

She publicly admitted that her diamonds were taken away by her husband, Bagus Saputra, on July 4, 2024. The news has caused quite a stir on the internet.

“So, since the 4th of July, he has taken my jewelry. On July 5th, we filed a report (to the Jakarta Metropolitan Police) because he showed no good faith, even though we had communicated about it when he was surprised to see the news spreading,” said Barbie as quoted by KapanLagi.com via Kompas.com, in the Senayan area, Central Jakarta, on Sunday (15/7/2024).

1. Total Loss of Barbie Kumalasari

Barbie said that the losses she experienced reached billions of rupiah. Not staying silent, Barbie Kumalasari reported this issue to the police for further action.

Barbie Kumalasari had a fight with Bagus Saputra's family before deciding not to withdraw the police report. Barbie expressed her frustration and her decision to drag Bagus to the police because there was no good intention from her husband.

2. The Beginning of Bagus Stealing Diamonds

The reason Bagus stole her diamonds was because he was upset seeing Barbie change her WhatsApp profile picture without him. Her husband, Bagus Saputra, became emotional and eventually stole Barbie's diamonds and gold.

Barbie reported Bagus for theft and the investigator charged him under Article 363 of the Indonesian Criminal Code regarding aggravated theft.

3. Unreasonable Reasons for Barbie

This makes Barbie very angry and feels unreasonable, considering their marriage was witnessed by great people.

“It's so simple, it doesn't make sense. I mean, 'Oh my God, you're 32 years old, we got married witnessed by great people, why is it so ridiculous?' Well, what can I say, we have a husband with that kind of brain,” said Barbie Kumalasari.

4. Some Jewelry Has Been Returned

Bagus admits his actions and some jewelry has been returned, but some have been sold. Hopefully, this issue will be resolved peacefully.

Barbie also emphasizes that her marriage to Bagus is only a secret and not officially registered in the country, which shows that she does not want to strengthen her relationship with her husband who has stolen her jewelry.
