Kapanlagi.com - Menteng Police Station has summoned Robby Purba, Marlene Hariman, and Nazarius for mediation regarding the viral video showing a security guard beating a dog at Plaza Indonesia (PI)
The meeting was also attended by representatives from the K-9 vendor whose contract was terminated by the mall management due to this incident. The mediation took place on Tuesday, June 11, 2024.
From the mediation, all parties involved agreed to a peaceful resolution. The security guard and the affected vendor are willing to accept Robby Purba and Marlene Hariman's apologies.
“The three parties have agreed that this issue is now resolved,” said Menteng Police Chief, Kompol Bayu Marfiando.
Robby Purba, who previously made an apology video, once again expresses his regret for viralizing Nazarius' action.
"Once again, I apologize. As an animal lover, I naturally have empathy and a quite shocking reaction. So, it was my empathy and curiosity about what actually happened that motivated me to post the video," said Robby Purba.
Robby also expresses his gratitude to Nazarius and the K-9 vendor for being willing to sit down together and discuss this issue.
"Thank you very much to all parties who have provided space and time for us to have a discussion today. I hope my apology is accepted," said Robby Purba.
Furthermore, Robby promised to make this incident an important lesson to be wiser in posting videos in the future.
“What I can learn from this is that I should be wiser in posting videos,” said Robby Purba.
A similar attitude was also shown by Marlene Hariman, who first made Nazarius' action go viral. She admitted that she did not expect her actions to have a long-lasting impact and promised not to repeat the same actions in the future.
