Cinta Kuya and His Family Were Reprimanded for Filming Without Permission at the LA Fire Location, Instead Feeling Their Privacy Was Violated

This video received a lot of criticism from netizens who felt that Uya Kuya and his family lacked empathy towards the fire victims.

Regarding this matter, Cinta Kuya made a clarification that they had asked for permission from the police on site. However, he also felt that it was his privacy that was violated at that time because the owner who expelled him recorded him without consent and uploaded an edited video.

1. Cinta Kuya Explains He Has Already Asked for Permission from Local Police

He admitted that the video was made to show that not only wealthy people are affected by the fire. He also asked for permission from the local police to take the video.

"Explainin what the actual happened. We were walking to video the Altadena area to show Indonesian netizens that those affected by wildfire are not just 'rich' people," typed Cinta Kuya.

"At that time, there were police and FBI guarding, and we also said excuse me, we want to film, and they said it was okay as long as we didn't go inside the yellow tape. At that time, it was also crowded with many people watching this incident," he explained.

2. Property Owner Expels Uya Kuya and Family

Because they did not know which house was on fire, he and his family made a video. However, in the middle of filming, the owner came and interrupted.

"Eventually, we take the video, not knowing which owner it was because at that time there were a lot of people, and the owner suddenly came to us in the middle of the video. We also thought he was filming the house because he wanted to show it to his friend or someone else," he continued.

But what made him furious was that the video was also cut and accused Uya Kuya's family of being in his area, but Cinta argued that they were on the shoulder of the road, not inside the house.

"As you can see, the video was also cropped by him. She said we were in her property, the fact and the reality WE ARE NOT in her property. We are standing on the sidewalk. Not inside her house. It's a different thing," said Cinta in defense.

3. Cinta Kuya Feels Her Privacy Has Been Violated

Accused of violating privacy for not asking permission to take footage of the burned house, Cinta expressed her defense that she is the one who feels her privacy has been violated because the owner recorded her and her family and uploaded it without consent.

"She talks about privacy too, we didn’t record her face and upload it. She recorded us and uploaded it without our consent too…" she continued.

"Anyways, I did explain to her and say deeply sorry to her, I even donated for her on gofundme… you guys want to take this as bad or good, it’s up to you," she revealed.

4. Admits to Have Apologized and Learned from Mistakes

Despite this, Cinta Kuya admitted to have contacted the owner directly to apologize and sent an apology via DM. She even sent a donation to that person.

"As I said in the other tweet, we apologized directly to her and in DM. We learn from our mistakes. There is nothing to defend or anything. This is just a story from my side perspective. Cinta Kuya also stressed that she learned from her mistakes, there was no ill intent, and she was just sharing from her point of view.
