Closed Age, Eko Patrio Says His Late Father Has Already 'Predicted' His Death 3 Years Ago

Sadness envelops the family of comedian and politician Eko Patrio. This is because on Friday, July 2, 2021, his father, Sumarsono Mulyo, passed away due to a long-standing illness.

When met after the funeral at TPU Layur, East Jakarta, on Friday night, July 2nd, Eko revealed a surprising fact before his father's departure.

This 50-year-old man said that his father had already known that he would only live for 3 years after the death of his beloved wife.

This always echoes in Eko Patrio's memory, and it turns out that the statement is true. Even he himself doesn't know whether it's just a coincidence or destiny.

"Lebaran (Eid) was the last moment to meet him and we gathered at home, and he was sad because his beloved wife had left him, but now it still echoes in my mind," said Eko Patrio.

"My father said, 'I will live for only 3 more years, I want to join your mother.' After 3 years, in 2018, my mother passed away, and now in 2021, my father passed away. So it's exactly 3 years, I also don't know how it could be so accurate," he continued.

In addition, Eko also mentioned that his father, during his lifetime, always visited his late wife's grave every Friday.

However, lately he cannot fulfill that because considering the current pandemic situation and the health of the deceased is also not good.

"My father always goes to her (wife's) grave every Friday. Even when he was sick, he still wanted to go, but I always refused because the condition is currently like this due to Covid, but the bottom line is we all love our parents," he said.
