Competing in the Top 8 of D'Academy 7, Valen & Arbil Perform Together at the 3rd Anniversary of Mentari TV

Kapanlagi.com - The atmosphere at the Emtek Studio, Daan Mogot, was very festive during the celebration of the 3rd Anniversary of Mentari TV held on Sunday (2/11/2025). The event titled "LIVE MENTARI TV ISTIM3WA" was opened with an energetic performance by Afan, a graduate of Dangdut Academy, along with Valen & Arbil who are still competing in the D'Academy 7 Top 8.

The three of them were appointed as the opening performers. They successfully lifted the spirits of the young audience present by performing the iconic song The Lion Sleeps Tonight, which is very familiar to children.

"We opened with the song The Lion Sleeps Tonight," said Valen when met at the Emtek Studio, Daan Mogot, West Jakarta, on Sunday (2/11/2025).

1. Impressions of Arbil & Valen

According to Valen, the performance was a very memorable moment, even though they only performed a snippet of the song.

"It was really fun, even though we only did a piece, but the opening was very, very memorable," he continued.

Arbil added that they did not need a long rehearsal time to prepare for the performance. With their status as professional singers, they could quickly harmonize their voices and arrange the vocal parts.

"Because we are basically singers, so there’s no need for effort to practice. It’s just about the arrangement," joked Arbil.

2. Song Selection According to Event Theme

He explained that the idea to perform the song came from Mentari TV, which they then discussed together. The song selection was considered very appropriate because it matched the theme of the event, which was full of joy and closely related to the animal world.

"Because Mentari is identically related to animals. For the beginning, it should be a lion, because the lion is the king of the jungle, right? The Lion King," said Valen.

In addition to singing, Valen and Arbil also enlivened the event by joining in a dance segment with the children. Their presence successfully added to the festive atmosphere of the celebration attended by special children from various backgrounds.
