In the Meet & Greet event that brought together 20 finalists with the media at Best Western Hotel, Mangga Dua, Jakarta, on Friday (26/9/2025), Marcel spoke candidly about his reasons for getting involved. He admitted to being concerned about the proliferation of talent search events with unclear outcomes.

"I'm helping them to be judges, and then I, along with my friends, look for talents. So there are some from Bengkulu, and actually there are others from several different regions. We gather them here," Marcel opened up.

"Because out there, there are many events like this, but many are not really deceived, but there are no results, there’s no end result. Now from here, if there’s someone good, I can help, right? So I’m just a facilitator to make sure they don’t take the wrong path, that’s it," he continued.

2. Different Concept

This 38-year-old actor emphasizes that the event he supports has a different concept. This event is designed to be sustainable and truly focuses on scouting talented individuals from outside Jakarta who may have struggled to gain access.

"Well, this is because we plan to try this month, starting from here, in four months we will start again," he explained.

According to Marcel, the potential in the regions is very large, but often inaccessible. "So all regions definitely have those potentials, there are many great filmmakers there. Maybe we haven't reached them yet, in four months we want to create it again. So we are indeed looking for talents from the regions," he added.

3. Intensive Training

The Indonesia Dream Talents event itself is a platform for talent scouting in the fields of modeling and acting. The finalists who successfully pass will receive intensive training through workshops before ultimately competing in the Grand Final.
