Declared as a Suspect, Fajar Umbara Admits to Committing Domestic Violence against Yuyun Sukawati

Kapanlagi.com - South Tangerang Police investigators have named film scriptwriter Fajar Umbara as a suspect in a domestic violence (KDRT) case reported by his wife, actress Yuyun Sukawati. In front of the investigators, Fajar admitted to committing the violence.

"We have designated him as a suspect and the investigators have also detained him, so he is currently being held at the South Tangerang Police detention center," said South Tangerang Police Chief AKBP Iman Imanudin, at his office, on Tuesday (13/4) night.

"He also admitted to the incident," Iman continued.

1. Chronology of Events

From the investigation, it was revealed that the violence occurred due to a disagreement between the parents of Yuyun Sukawati and Fajar Umbara. Unfortunately, when Yuyun tried to intervene, she was instead hit in the eye and chin by Fajar.

"When the victim tried to retaliate, her hand was grabbed and slammed onto the table, causing a fracture in her hand bone," explained Iman Imanudin.

2. Fajar Appointed as a Suspect

From the investigation, the investigator finally upgraded Fajar's status from a witness to a suspect because he has fulfilled two pieces of strong evidence.

"Yes, based on the examination results in the investigation process, the investigator has found two strong pieces of evidence to determine the person in question as a suspect in the case as reported by the reporter," he concluded.
