Violating the Code of Ethics, Hotma Sitompul's Legal Team Plans to Report Hotman Paris Hutapea to Peradi

The latest development is that Parathi Sihombing, who is Hotma Sitompul's legal representative, along with his team, will report Hotman to the Honorary Council of the Indonesian Advocates Association (Peradi) for allegedly violating the code of ethics as a lawyer.

"We will continue our legal efforts, as I stated on March 31, that this individual has acted unethically. Therefore, in the near future, we will report Hotman to the code of ethics," said Parathi Sihombing at his office in Sunter, North Jakarta, on Friday (9/4).

1. Escalating the Atmosphere

One of the reasons Hotma Sitompul's legal team reported Hotman is because the lawyer has escalated the situation between Desiree Tarigan and his client. Desiree Tarigan is suspected to have been influenced by Hotman for his personal interests.

"I am also a lawyer, so I know that clients usually just follow the lawyer's instructions, so if the client is brought here and there, it must be the lawyer's directive," she said.

2. Embarrassing Someone

Furthermore, Hotma Sitompul's legal team also regrets the exposure of their client's marital problems in the media for certain purposes. Because family matters are personal and do not need to be known by the public.

"It's impossible, why should Mrs. Desiree expose everything, but there are people playing behind the scenes for what purpose? Popularity, ratings want to go up, it's okay, but not in matters that are not good for family affairs, exposing someone in the media," concluded Parathi Sihombing.
