Defendant Yudha Arfandi's Exception Regarding the Case of Dante's Death Rejected by the Public Prosecutor Until the End

Kapanlagi.com - The East Jakarta District Court held a hearing on the case of the death of Dante, the child of Angger Dimas and Tamara Tyasmara, with defendant Yudha Arfandi on Thursday (11/7/2027). The agenda of today's hearing is the Public Prosecutor's response to the exception submitted by defendant Yudha Arfandi in the previous hearing.

In the hearing, the Public Prosecutor read out several objections that were previously raised by the defendant Yudha Arfandi. Yudha's side considered the indictment from the Public Prosecutor to be inaccurate, which was immediately refuted by the Public Prosecutor in the trial.

"Our indictment has been carefully prepared, clearly complete, and meets the formal and material requirements," said the Public Prosecutor in the trial.

1. Reasons for the Rejection of the Defendant's Exception

Then the Prosecutor assessed that the defendant's exception was unfounded. Therefore, the Prosecutor agreed to reject the exception submitted by the defendant.

"Unfounded and beyond the scope of our exception, the public prosecutor requests that the panel of judges declare the indictment against the public prosecutor, has been prepared properly and in accordance with the provisions," said the Prosecutor.

"Because the exception letter cannot be used as a basis, the Prosecutor declares the exception cannot be accepted and rejected," he added.

2. Prosecutor's Request

The Prosecutor also requested that the trial process against Yudha Arfandi continue. After that, the judge ensured that the defendant could read a copy of the Prosecutor's response.

"Decide, reject the exception from the defendant Yuda Arfandi and his legal representative entirely. Request the panel of judges to continue the trial of the Dante death case to the next agenda until it has legal force," said the Prosecutor.

3. Musyawarah Majelis Hakim

Then the chief judge, Immanuel SH, MH, said that they will discuss the exception and the prosecutor's response.

"The panel of judges will consider in the interim decision whether the objection note is accepted or rejected or cannot be accepted," he said.

"We have discussed the interim decision, it will be answered on Monday, July 22, 2024," he concluded.
