Nevertheless, Diding has a strong determination to rebuild the house, not for luxury, but out of responsibility.
As the eldest child, Diding feels obligated to preserve his ancestral heritage. The house is not just a place to live, but also a symbol of family history that must be maintained. He wants to ensure that his younger siblings and children have a decent place to shelter.
"Yes, it has to be here. It is my responsibility as the eldest son and grandson to accommodate my siblings and children. The location is indeed where we live," he asserted.
Currently, Diding relies on income from teaching theater workshops and acting lectures to make a living, considering his physical condition is not yet suitable for returning to intensive shooting.
"My office is just this phone, waiting for any job calls," he said while showing his mobile phone.
Diding's spirit to rise from adversity deserves a thumbs up. Support from various parties, including fellow artists and neighbors, serves as a motivation for him to realize his dream of rebuilding his family's little palace.
