During the Pandemic, Delve into the Character of Sri Asih, Pevita Pearce: She's Really Cool!

Kapanlagi.com - The film SRI ASIH was supposed to start shooting in the first semester of 2020. However, a few weeks before the D-day, everything had to be postponed due to the sudden outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic worldwide.

During the postponement, Pevita Pearce as the actress playing Sri Asih admitted to delving deeper into the character played alongside Upi as the director. The more she delved, Pevita felt that the female hero character was really cool.

"Yesterday, we were all ready for shooting, just waiting for a few weeks. Seeing this (postponed because of the pandemic) from my perspective, it's an opportunity to dig deeper into the character of Sri Asih that I may not have seen before. So there were many discussions between me and Mbak Upi on how to portray Sri Asih, who I think is really cool, both in terms of character and storyline," said Pevita Pearce in a press conference via Zoom, on Tuesday (18/8/2020).

To maintain her well-formed body, Pevita Pearce continues to exercise. She even does it alone, considering it is not possible to do it with many people around.

"During the break yesterday, I still used the time to exercise. Even though I did it alone. I'm definitely excited because soon SRI ASIH will start shooting again with protocols, it will be a new experience," explained the 27-year-old woman born in Jakarta.

2. Better Than 'GUNDALA'

Abimana Aryasatya, who played Gundala in the film GUNDALA, which opened the Bumilangit Cinematic Universe, guarantees that SRI ASIH will have better results. Because surely the team behind the scenes has learned from the shortcomings in the previous production.

"I believe SRI ASIH will be better than GUNDALA, and I believe the director Upi has prepared an extraordinary concept. I also believe that Pevita can deliver the character of Sri Asih well," said Abimana in the same session.
