Economic Difficulties, 3 Migrant Workers Hope for the Kindness of Ustaz Yusuf Mansur in Mediation Session

Kapanlagi.com - The mediation session for the alleged unlawful act case involving Ustaz Yusuf Mansur scheduled for Tuesday (25/1/2022) was canceled. This was due to the unavailability of the mediator judge.

A similar session with the same agenda will be held in two weeks. Asfa Davy Bya, the plaintiff's legal representative, hopes that Ustaz Yusuf Mansur, as the defendant, will attend the mediation session.

"In two weeks, there will still be mediation, and we hope that the principals will also be present. We will bring these three plaintiffs and we also hope that Yusuf Mansur will attend so that they can meet," said Asfa Davy Bya at the Tangerang District Court on Tuesday (25/1/2022).

1. Hope to Return Money

In the mediation later, Asfa Davy hopes for the kindness of Ustaz Yusuf Mansur to return his clients' money with a loss value of Rp180 million each. Because, Asfa said that his clients are currently facing economic difficulties.

"The three of them no longer work as migrant workers. They are facing economic difficulties, if they are not in trouble, why would they sue?" said Asfa Davy Bya.

2. Do Not Want the Issue to Proceed to Court

If an agreement can be reached in mediation, Asfa said he would be relieved. Because both he and his clients do not want the issue to drag on in court.

"If it can be resolved through mediation, then we don't want it to take too long. Our lawsuit is clear, it's just a matter of the defendants responding to it, what our lawsuit will be addressed by them," he said.

3. Investing in Land Savings

Previously reported, the three Indonesian Workers (TKI) in Hong Kong, namely Suratih, Aida Alamsyah, and Yeni Rachmawati, have been participating in land savings investment since 2014.

At that time, they were interested in joining the program after being offered by Ustaz Yusuf Mansur during a religious lecture in Hong Kong.

4. Mandatory to Become Cooperative Members

At that time, the three defendants each invested around Rp 5 million for joint land purchases at a price of Rp 2.2 million per square meter.

To participate in land savings investment, they were required to register as members of the Merah Putih cooperative, which charged a fee of Rp 200,000.

However, since being registered as investors in the land savings investment, they have not received any news about the clarity of the land savings investment program.

The distribution of profits has also never been received by them since 2014. Even though at the beginning of the cooperation, Yusuf Mansur promised benefits.

The three migrant workers have tried to contact Ustaz Yusuf Mansur to ask for an explanation. But Yusuf Mansur is difficult to contact. Moreover, he is not available.

As a result, the three of them took legal action by suing Ustaz Yusuf Mansur in civil court.
