Emotional Moment, Jessica Iskandar and Husband Accompany the Cremation Process of Her Beloved Father

Kapanlagi.com - The remains of the late Hardy Iskandar, father of Jessica Iskandar, were cremated at the Sentosa Crematorium, Central Jakarta on Wednesday (1/1/2025). The ceremony was solemn with the presence of the extended family and mourners who filled the mourning house before the remains were laid to rest in the cremation room.

Jessica Iskandar and her husband, Vincent Verhaag, were seen following the ceremony with deep sadness. Family and mourners offered prayers in a touching atmosphere. After the prayer ceremony concluded, Hardy Iskandar's coffin was taken to the cremation room.

Jessica was at the front line holding a photo of her father, followed by her brother, Erick Iskandar, who also provided support to her. Before the coffin was placed into the cremation room, prayers were once again offered for the late Hardy.

Mourners were given a final opportunity to sprinkle flowers on the coffin, a tradition that adds to the poignancy of the ceremony. As the cremation room door opened and the coffin was brought in, the atmosphere of sorrow became even more palpable.

Vincent was seen trying to strengthen Jessica by embracing her. Jessica appeared to be holding her mother, who was crying sorrowfully, unable to contain her emotions during this farewell moment.

2. Rest in Peace

Jessica Iskandar's father, Hardy Iskandar, passed away on December 28. Before his passing, Hardy had been suffering from several illnesses. The late Hardy was even unconscious for three days before finally taking his last breath.

"He had a lot of illnesses. Coincidentally, my father had many health issues since he was 40 years old. It started with diabetes, which progressed to heart problems, cholesterol, high blood pressure, stroke, and recently, his illnesses extended to the kidneys, lungs, and gallbladder. Also, he had another stroke; he had been sick for a long time," said Jessica Iskandar at the funeral home on Tuesday night (12/31/2024).

"But he kept trying to get treatment; however, the deceased had been complaining for the last few years. He was tired, didn't have the strength, and wanted to go home. We, as a family, especially the children, felt sorry for him. His suffering was immense because he had to take so many different medications. In the last days, he could no longer walk," she concluded.
