Kapanlagi.com - An unusual and emotional scene unfolded during the continuation of the trial regarding the alleged extortion and money laundering case involving Nikita Mirzani. Amid the tension of the legal process, an emotional moment between the controversial artist and her house assistant, Ati Sumiati, suddenly drew attention.
The trial, held at the South Jakarta District Court on Thursday, (14/8/2025), was originally scheduled for the continuation of witness examination. However, the presence of Ati Sumiati in the courtroom added a unique color to the proceedings.
After giving her testimony, Ati Sumiati could not hold back her feelings. With a trembling voice, she spontaneously made a direct plea to the panel of judges presiding over the trial.
She pleaded for the panel of judges to release her employer, Nikita Mirzani, from custody. The main reason behind her plea was the condition of Nikita's children, who are now far from their mother.
"Your Honor, please release my madam (Nikita). Feel sorry for her children," said Ati Sumiati with hope.
The heartfelt plea was calmly responded to by the panel of judges. The judge stated that the request would be taken into consideration later, according to the applicable legal procedures.
"That will be later," the panel of judges replied briefly.
Not only pleading with the judge, a touching moment also occurred when Nikita Mirzani entrusted a message to Ati. With a softer expression, this mother of three entrusted her two sons, Azka and Arkana, to her loyal assistant.
"Please stay healthy and take care of the children, okay, sis?" said Nikita to Ati.
The message was met with prayers and hopes from Ati. She prayed that her employer could soon breathe free air and reunite with her family.
"Yes madam, hopefully you will be free soon," Ati replied promptly.
