Ending Vacation Before Release, Angelina Sondakh Plans to Depart for Umrah

Kapanlagi.com - Angelina Patricia Pingkan Sondakh, also known as Angelina Sondak, the winner of Puteri Indonesia 2001, will finish her furlough period before being released from Balai Pemasyarakatan (Bapas) Kelas I Jakarta Selatan on Wednesday (1/6/2022).

This means that the former politician of the Democratic Party is now officially free. Apparently, after completing her furlough period, the wife of the late Adjie Massaid has several plans. Starting from performing umrah, returning to her hometown, to releasing a new album.

"The plan is definitely to return to my hometown. We had registered for umrah. Well, it turns out that the schedule is after I return home. So, I will go to Manado for a few weeks. After that, I will get ready for umrah, then take care of the work that we have scheduled. Because there are jobs outside the city. Including the release of several albums, releasing singles," said Angelina Sondakh, as quoted by Kapanlagi.com on Wednesday (1/6/2022).

1. Three Months Furlough

As previously known, Angelina Sondakh is undergoing social reintegration process through Cuti Menjelang Bebas (CMB) for the last three months since March 3, 2022 and ends on June 1, 2022.

During CMB, Angelina Sondakh is under direct supervision of the Pembimbing Kemasyarakatan (PK) officer of Bapas Jaksel and is required to report every two weeks.

"I was told that after the guidance at the prison, then you will receive guidance from Bapas. This means that Bapas will monitor your activities outside, and provide input. But it's true. Because my PK, Mr. Fajar always asks, what are the obstacles? Is there any distrust from the community? That is always asked," said Angelina Sondakh.

"And if there are any, a solution will definitely be provided. So I feel that the guidance really does not only end in the prison, but in these three months, I feel that Bapas also provides extraordinary guidance," added Angelina Sondakh.

2. Must Report

In addition to being required to report to Bapas Jaksel every two weeks, Angelina Sondakh is not allowed to leave the city or go abroad without permission during the CMB period. If these provisions are violated and the CMB is revoked, the consequence is that the time outside the prison (CMB) is not counted as serving a criminal sentence.

"Indeed, Allah is Most Kind. So He regulates it, I finished CMB (Pre-Release Leave), Keanu had also finished school, meaning he was on vacation. So sometimes when I think about it again, subhanallah walhamdulillah wa la haula quwwata illa billah. Allah regulates it perfectly. Anyway, if I'm not on CMB, I still can't go anywhere because Keanu hasn't had a vacation yet.

"Well, on June 1st, I finished (CMB), and in June, Keanu was on vacation from school. It turns out that Allah planned for me, so for 3 months on CMB, I saved a little money. So I can't go home to Manado yet, I can't go for Umrah with Keanu yet. It turns out that in those 3 months, alhamdulillah, I got a lot of jobs. So if you're a former prisoner, never worry, sustenance will not run away," added Angelina Sondakh.

3. Complying with Regulations

During the CMB process, Angelina Sondakh has complied with all regulations, especially by reporting herself regularly. Angelina Sondakh admitted that she found it easy to access the services because the reporting could be done anywhere and anytime through filling out a digital form in the SMILE (Electronic Service Information System) application of Bapas Jaksel.

"The service is extraordinary. It's easy to use. The online application is user-friendly. So, if I am reminded by Mr. Fajar, I will report. Oh yeah, the schedule for reporting. Don't forget tomorrow. There is even a reminder. And because of the PPKM, there are both online and offline reporting. Bapas clients can easily access the SMILE application anywhere," said Angelina Sondakh.

4. Corruption Case

Angelina Sondakh was released from Pondok Labu Prison on Thursday (3/3/2022). She breathed fresh air for the first time after being imprisoned for about 10 years. She was imprisoned for her involvement in the corruption of the Hambalang Athlete's Village project. Initially, Angelina was sentenced to 4.5 years in prison and a fine of Rp250 million or six months in prison on January 10, 2013. However, Angelina's sentence was increased to 12 years in prison by the Supreme Court.
