Fachri Albar Relapses Again After 7 Months of Rehabilitation in 2018, Police Suspect Use Never Stopped

Fachri Albar is once again dealing with the law regarding a narcotics case. The son of senior musician Ahmad Albar was arrested on Sunday (20/4/2025) in the Lebak Bulus area, South Jakarta. The arrest was based on information received by the police beforehand.

Police Commissioner Twedi Aditya Bennyahdi, the West Jakarta Metro Police Chief, revealed that they have been investigating Fachri's case. "There is a possibility that even after being punished in the past, the individual is still using," he said. Here are the details.

This arrest follows Fachri's seven-month rehabilitation at the Cibubur Drug Dependency Hospital (RSKO) in 2018. However, strong suspicions that Fachri has not stopped using drugs have resurfaced.

The evidence found this time is quite significant. "We confiscated 2 packages of meth, 1 package of marijuana, cocaine, and other psychotropic substances at the suspect's house," explained Kombes Twedi.

Kombes Twedi also emphasized that Fachri has undergone a urine test with positive results for three illegal substances at once. This further strengthens the suspicion that he has never stopped using drugs.

The Fachri case reminds us of the long struggle of the Albar family against drugs. Fachri's father, Ahmad Albar, was also involved in a similar case a few years ago. Nevertheless, Fachri claims that he uses drugs independently.

"Do not involve others," said Kombes Twedi. Fachri stated that drugs were used to 'calm his mind' from the burdens of life.

Currently, the police are still completing the case files and plan to submit them to the prosecutor's office. Fachri faces a maximum sentence of 12 years in prison and a fine of up to Rp8 billion.

Kombes Twedi also confirmed that further investigations will be conducted. "We are still investigating where the source of this substance comes from," he said.

This case serves as a strong warning about the dangers of drugs that continue to lurk, even among those who have undergone rehabilitation.
