Family Requests Suspension of Detention for Vadel Badjideh, His Father Becomes the Guarantor

Kapanlagi.com - Vadel Badjideh is currently still in detention at the South Jakarta Police after being reported by actress Nikita Mirzani for alleged molestation and abortion of his child, Lolly.

The detention has been ongoing since February 12, 2025. Now, the family has submitted a request for suspension of detention with Vadel's father, Umar Badjideh, as the guarantor.

Vadel's two siblings, Martin and Bintang Badjideh, stated that the legal steps regarding the suspension of detention are fully entrusted to the family's legal counsel. They hope the process can go smoothly.

"The suspension of detention might be handled by our legal counsel who understands it better," said Martin when met at the South Jakarta Police on Tuesday (February 18, 2025).

1. There Are Two Lawyers

Bintang added that there are two lawyers handling the matter and will provide more complete information.

"Maybe later Bang Razman and Bang Rahmat will be able to explain the legal aspects," said Bintang.

2. The Suspension Process Is Underway

The family's legal counsel, Rahmat Riyadi, confirmed that the request for a suspension of detention has been submitted since February 16, 2025. Currently, they are still waiting for a decision from the South Jakarta Police Chief. According to him, the duration of the suspension request process can vary, depending on the Police Chief's schedule.

"The suspension of detention is still in process because the letter has been submitted to the Police Chief, we just need to wait," explained Rahmat.

"Usually, the fastest response is one day, but normally it takes about three to five days to respond. The letter first goes to the general section, and then it goes up to the Police Chief's desk," he added.

3. Father Becomes the Guarantor

Rahmat also confirmed that Umar Badjideh, Vadel's father, became the guarantor in the application. Furthermore, he explained that the family had actually tried to submit a request for Vadel not to be detained on the night of his arrest, which was February 13, 2025. However, they did not give up and submitted a suspension request again on February 16, 2025.

"The guarantor is Mr. Umar, his father," said Rahmat.

"When he was arrested, we immediately submitted a request for him not to be detained. That was on the night of the arrest around 8 or 9-10 PM, we submitted the request right away. But that request could not be approved, so Vadel remained detained and was released the next day," Rahmat explained.

"So it has been two days now, we are just waiting for the decision from Mr. Kapolres," he added.

4. Four Reasons for Suspension

Rahmat revealed that there are four reasons considered in the application for the suspension of Vadel's detention. First, Vadel's condition, who is still young and currently pursuing his studies in college. Second, Vadel's mother's health has deteriorated since this case arose.

"First, Vadel's own condition. He is still young, and it is hoped that he can complete his studies," Rahmat explained.

"His mother has been unwell for several days now and misses Vadel very much," he added.

5. Vade Will Participate in an International Dance Competition

The third reason is related to Vadel's schedule, which is planned to participate in an international dance competition soon. Lastly, the achievements that Vadel has attained so far are expected to be a consideration for the police.

"Vadel is scheduled to participate in an international dance competition in one of the countries around March. So we are trying to ensure that Vadel can continue to represent Indonesia," said Rahmat.

"There are several achievements of Vadel that have brought honor to Indonesia. I think this should be a consideration for Mr. Kapolres to grant a suspension," he added.
