Ferry Maryadi Cries at the Wedding Ceremony of El Rumi - Syifa Hadju, Until His Child WhatsApped Him

The sacred moment of the wedding ceremony of El Rumi and Syifa Hadju left a touching story from the invited guests, especially Ferry Maryadi. This member of The Prediksi admitted he couldn't hold back tears while witnessing the ijab kabul (marriage vow) of the couple. Ferry, who has come to see Syifa as his own child, felt very emotional throughout the event held in Jakarta.

Ferry's resolve not to cry finally broke down when the main moment of the wedding began. The overwhelming sadness and happiness made him sob in the guest seating area. This caught the attention of the family, and even Ferry's children, who were sitting behind him, managed to document this rare moment and sent it through a text message.

"It was so exciting, really exciting, definitely very exciting. What can I say, it was very touching. He (Ferry) was sobbing during the wedding vows," said Deswita Maharani when met by KapanLagi in the Warung Buncit area, South Jakarta, Tuesday (28/4/2026).

Deswita recounted how her husband tried hard to hold back his emotions in front of many people. Syifa Hadju, who also felt tense, kept holding Deswita's hand continuously. However, Deswita's attention was diverted when she saw Ferry busy wiping his tears, causing his glasses to be opened and closed repeatedly because they were wet with tears.

"Actually, it was like he was holding back, meaning like 'Don't cry, don't cry.' When Syifa cries, she keeps holding my hand and doing that all the time," said Deswita.

"Eh, I didn't realize that when I looked over, he was busy by himself? It turned out that the kids behind were all recording, right? Then they WhatsApped, 'Dad, why do you keep taking off your glasses?' they said. So the atmosphere was really, what can I say, just like that," continued Deswita Maharani.

Ferry Maryadi himself did not deny that his feelings at that time were truly uncertain. For him, seeing Syifa alongside the man of her choice was a moment he had been eagerly waiting for, yet it was also touching. The conducive atmosphere and the presence of close friends made his emotions even more stirred up.

"Yes, I was sobbing. There was sadness, there was happiness, a mix of everything," said Ferry Maryadi.

Deswita added that the presence of many relatives made the reception feel very grand. She felt as if all the residents of Jakarta had gathered at the wedding venue. The warmth among the guests and the atmosphere filled with love created beautiful memories for those who attended El and Syifa's happy day.

"Yes, that's it. And during the reception, thank God it seemed like everyone from Jakarta poured in there, right? It felt like anyone you could meet was there," concluded Deswita Maharani.
