Kapanlagi.com - Stefani Livinus as one of the owners of I Am Geprek Bensu finally speaks up about the trademark ownership dispute with Ruben Onsu. Accompanied by her lawyer, Eddie Kusuma revealed how their collaboration with Ruben Onsu began.

When met in the Pancenongan area, Central Jakarta, on Friday afternoon (12/6), Stefani and her lawyer explained their version of the initial collaboration chronology. Initially, her client was asked to collaborate by Jordi Onsu, Ruben Onsu's younger brother, and from there, Jordi served as the operational manager.

"Jordi, Ruben Onsu's younger brother, and Stefani's friend, invited her to collaborate. Finally, she agreed to become the operational manager. The position was given to her," said Eddie Kusuma.

1. Invite Ruben to Become a Brand Ambassador

After running for several months, Jordi Onsu then asked Stefani to invite Ruben Onsu to become a brand ambassador for I Am Geprek Bensu. From there, the sales business of I Am Geprek Bensu developed rapidly.

"We gave Ruben Onsu the opportunity to become a brand ambassador. Suddenly, within three months, it grew rapidly. From the beginning until August, there were already 40 outlets," Eddie continued.

Seeing the drastic increase in profits, Ruben Onsu then requested to withdraw from the collaboration. Initially, Ruben asked for a 50-50 profit sharing, although Stefani agreed to it, Ruben Onsu insisted on his decision to end the collaboration and establish his own company with Jordi Onsu.

2. Unilaterally Terminate the Employment Contract

Ruben Onsu unilaterally terminated the employment contract and sent a summons letter to Stefani to either close her culinary business or change the name of the store. However, Ruben had no capital at all in the I Am Geprek Bensu business.

"Then Ruben Onsu claimed that he didn't want to be with us anymore. So we offered, why? What's lacking from us? Then we offered a high price. Finally, we agreed to a 50-50 profit sharing. But then, two days later, a summons letter arrived, saying that we couldn't use the name Bensu," he said.

"He unilaterally decided, he said that (the name Bensu) belongs to him, we were shocked. It's outrageous, we gave him an opportunity and he admitted it. He asked all the stores to close and not to use the name Geprek Bensu," Eddie continued.
