1. Adaptation of the Novel Sitti Nurbaya

This musical series is adapted from the novel Sitti Nurbaya: Unrequited Love by Marah Rusli, produced with a new packaging without leaving behind the regional elements of Minang society. This musical series also presents a combination of visual beauty, excellent acting and choreography, as well as an ear-catching music composition.

Unlike other productions, this Nurbaya Musical Series is entirely filled by artists who participated in an online program searching for talented young Indonesian artists since December 2020. 2. Harmonious Blend of Visual and Music

This 6-episode Nurbaya Musical Series presents a harmonious blend of visualization and music that enriches the meaning of the production. There are around 23 songs performed throughout the episodes that are heavily influenced by Minang music and the 70s pop era. In addition, there is also the dangdut music genre which is an acculturation of Malay and Indian music in the song Etek Rahma.
