Frequently Experience Losses, Mak Vera Now Officially Legalizes Contracts of Artists She Handles

Previously, Mak Vera herself never had a legal contract with the artists she handles. However, this time she wants to change that in order to avoid unwanted things.

"Before, Mak and Olga didn't have a contract. Artists came, got a name, and then left. That's what made many artists claim to be Mak Vera's children, but there was no legality. So, with this contract letter from the office, everything uses Mak's signature and the office's letterhead. Everything is clear, Mak Vera's children are definitely clear," said Mak Vera to the media recently.

1. Often Cheated by Their Own Artists

Apparently, Mak Vera took this step based on past experiences, where she was often cheated by her own artists. Now, such incidents can be minimized.

"So many incidents happened before in Emak's management, usually before they had money, Emak paid them first, paid for rent, car installments, loan system, laundry. If they have a show, it's not managed by Emak, Emak cuts the job 70-30, it often happens that they borrow from Emak first and in the end they don't pay. If there is a clear contract, you contract with me, there is a section about it. Both parties have their own responsibilities," explained Mak Vera.

"So now, for friends out there, if someone claims to be Mak Vera's child, just ask about the contract," she added.

2. Introducing Some of Its New Artists

On that occasion, Mak also introduced some new artists that she handles. They have different career paths, some are singers, some are trying their hand in the film industry.

"Andra already has a contract. A businessman, he recently ran for politics, wants to venture into management and learn about entertainment, we talked and finally found a common vision, to fight together like other children. Arman in dangdut, Rey in pop. Andra wants to act. If he's a host, he's quiet, he's good at commercials, he's good on the big screen, thank God he got two films to play together," Mak explained further.

"I want to have a new experience in entertainment. Hopefully, God willing," Andra added briefly.
