Kapanlagi.com - Nagaswara music label filed a lawsuit against Gen Halilintar for copyright infringement of the song popularized by Siti Badriah, Lagi Syantik. Yos Mulayadi, Nagaswara's lawyer, stated that his client suffered losses.
The Gen Halilintar family, excluding their parents, attended the Central Jakarta District Court on Monday (24/2) at around 10:50 AM. They are Atta Halilintar, Saaih Halilintar, Sohwa, Sajidah, Thariq, Abqariyyah, Fatim, Fateh, Muntaz, Saleha, and Qahtan.
"We came to the Central Jakarta District Court to testify. Today, I am testifying for my siblings and my parents in the video cover of the song," said Atta Halilintar.

Gen Halilintar's arrival attracted attention. They came in luxury cars as if they were doing a car parade.
According to Kumparan, the first car is a Range Rover estimated to cost 1.5 billion.
The second is a black matte Jeep Wrangler estimated to cost 1.1 billion. And the third is a Maserati Ghibli, estimated to cost 2.5 billion rupiah.
This has invited negative comments from netizens. Because of the wealth they have, they should be able to pay a lawsuit of 9.5 billion.
However, instead of paying the lawsuit, they asked for peace. "Sell all their cars and pay the 9.5 billion lawsuit. It's embarrassing to ask for peace," commented a netizen.

As is known, the Gen Halilintar family is being sued by the music label Nagaswara. Not half-hearted, in the lawsuit, Nagaswara demanded that the Gen Halilintar family pay a fine and compensation of Rp 9.5 billion.
Nagaswara's lawsuit originated from the Gen Halilintar family covering and changing the lyrics of the song titled Lagi Syantik popularized by Siti Badriah. Then uploaded on the Gen Halilintar YouTube channel.
The Nagaswara party admitted that there has been a meeting with representatives of Gen Halilintar. In fact, a protest letter was sent in 2018.
"We have sent a protest letter at the end of 2018 and the first meeting was in early 2019 between my client and the Halilintar management. Actually, they were cooperative but couldn't reach an agreement, that's why my client filed a lawsuit for legal certainty," said Yos Mulayadi.
"(Uploaded) on the Gen Halilintar YouTube channel and has been taken down, but the problem is this is a copyright violation, intellectual property, there are protections and responsibilities. That's the point," he continued.

With this lawsuit, Yos Mulayadi emphasizes that there are several things that actually become his client's demands on the Gen Halilintar side.
"Legal certainty, copyright campaign, and deterrence effect, of course. That copyright is governed by law," he said firmly.
