In an Instagram story post (31/10/2025), preacher Habib Husein Ja'far Al Hadar expressed his disappointment and concern over the news of the arrest of Onadio Leonardo alias Onad related to a drug case.
He admitted to being shocked and sad to hear the news. "Reading the news about Onad, I was shocked, disappointed, sad, and concerned," he wrote.
He referred to Onad as his brother in humanity despite their different religions. Habib Jafar assessed that he has known Onad as a good and tolerant person. They often discussed and fought together to promote values of tolerance in Indonesia.
However, according to him, there is no room for tolerance for drugs. "Drugs not only violate the laws of the state, but also the laws of all religions and the logic of common sense," emphasized Habib Jafar.
Although disappointed, Habib Jafar still showed empathy. He hopes Onad can take responsibility for his mistakes and rise from his downfall.
"I pray and try to be there to help Onad take responsibility for his mistakes, break free from drugs, and rise to spread goodness," he stated. He also emphasized that his hatred is directed only at drugs, not the person.
Closing his message, Habib Jafar sent prayers for Onad to become a better person. "Sending prayers for Onad. May he realize, repent, and change. Repent, Nad!" he mentioned.
