Health Condition is Good, Jonathan Frizzy Detained at Tangerang Youth Prison

Kapanlagi.com - Actor Jonathan Frizzy, commonly known as Ijonk, has officially been detained at Class II A Tangerang Youth Prison since Monday (14/7/2025). He is undergoing detention after his case file regarding the alleged possession of a vape containing hard drugs was declared complete.

"As per the schedule we set, we are detaining Ijonk Jonathan," said the Head of the Intelligence Section of the Tangerang City Prosecutor's Office, Made Agung Deja, on Monday (14/7/2025).

1. Arrival at the Prison

Upon arriving at the prison, Ijonk was seen sitting in the front of the prosecutor's car. He appeared to be wearing a jacket, a hat, and a black mask that covered his face.

"There are no more hospital checks, because everything is already clear. The report is all ready," said Made.

2. Fit for Detention

From the health examination results, Ijonk's condition was deemed sufficiently fit for detention. However, he still had bruises and experienced slight difficulty when sitting.

"It's good, just those bruises," said Made.

3. The Beginning of the Case

This case began with the arrest of three civilians who were caught carrying vapes containing liquid with hard drugs. From the investigation results, the police then named Jonathan as a suspect for violating the Health Law.

"Jonathan Frizzy will continue to follow the legal process, but he is still requesting a detention suspension. We're still considering that," said Made.

4. Mandatory Reporting Required

The detention of Ijonk was carried out after he had previously been required to report due to being in the recovery period post-surgery. However, since last Friday, he has officially been placed in the Airport Police and has now been moved to the Youth Correctional Facility.

"Since last Friday, we have placed him here, continuing until now at the Youth Correctional Facility in Tangerang," explained Made.

5. Accepting the Detention Decision

Although he now has to undergo detention, Jonathan Frizzy is reported to accept the decision with an open heart. The legal process continues, including preparations for the upcoming trial.

"The trial schedule is waiting for us to submit. We will submit as early as Monday, at 10 AM, we will submit to the Court waiting for the Court's schedule. The Prosecutor's Office is ready. There are 3 prosecutors handling it," concluded Made Suarja.

6. Threatened with 12 Years in Prison

Previously, Jonathan was not immediately jailed because he had just undergone surgery and was experiencing bleeding. However, now, with the legal considerations met, he is officially behind bars while waiting for the schedule of his first trial to be set.

Based on Law Number 17 of 2023 concerning Health, the suspects including Jonathan Frizzy are threatened with a maximum sentence of 12 years in prison and a fine of up to Rp5 billion. This threat is charged under Article 435 juncto Article 138 paragraphs (2) and (3) which regulate illegal drug production and distribution.

7. Additional Threat of Punishment

Not only that, they also face an additional threat of five years in prison or a fine of Rp500 million as regulated in Article 436 paragraph (2) concerning violations of pharmaceutical practices involving the use of hard drugs without permission.

This case has attracted public attention as it involves a well-known figure in the entertainment world. Many parties highlight how serious the legal violations related to drugs are, especially if committed by public figures who should set a good example. Now, Jonathan Frizzy's fate will be determined in the ongoing legal process.
