Edward Akbar responded to a mediation call from the investigator of the South Jakarta Metro Police regarding a report of alleged car embezzlement by his ex-wife, Kimberly Ryder. He arrived accompanied by two of his lawyers on Friday (10/7/2025) afternoon.

Edward's presence at the police station marked a new step in a case that had stalled due to his repeated absences from previous summons. He arrived wearing a white t-shirt and a light blue jacket at 11:09 AM WIB.

Shortly after, Kimberly also appeared at the location, arriving just about 10 minutes apart. A brief encounter occurred as they crossed paths in the police station area.

However, it seems that the communication did not reach Kimberly, who claimed she did not receive any emails from Edward at all. She felt confused because she found no messages in her inbox. "My email? That's really weird, no, it didn't reach me," said Kimberly Ryder.

In addition to expressing his desire to meet, Edward also asked about the condition of their two children who are now living with Kimberly since their divorce.
