His Daughter Bullied, Ahmad Dhani Says Netizens Have No Conscience

Kapanlagi.com - Musician Ahmad Dhani and his wife, Mulan Jameela, have taken serious legal action by reporting Lita Gading to the Indonesian Child Protection Commission (KPAI) on Wednesday (9/7/2025). This report was filed due to content created by the account that allegedly violated child protection laws concerning his underage daughter, SF.

This action is a response to the cyberbullying experienced by his daughter. The frontman of the band Dewa 19 explained that besides the Lita Gading account, there are many other social media accounts actively bullying his daughter.

He feels the need to take firm action to provide a deterrent effect to the perpetrators of online bullying. Dhani stated that this situation reflects a lack of awareness among netizens regarding the ethics of interacting in the online world.

"If I think more about the impact on Indonesia in the future. It turns out that the people, our society, especially netizens, many do not understand, do not know, or do not have a conscience," said Dhani.

1. Dhani Expresses Surprise at Some Netizens

Dhani expressed his astonishment at the behavior of some netizens who seem oblivious to basic norms and ethics in interactions, especially concerning children. He finds it strange that amidst technological advancements, there are still many individuals who are cruel enough to spew hate speech without considering the consequences. Dhani is concerned about the moral condition he observes in the online world.

"It's really strange that the Indonesian nation is still filled with netizens who have no conscience. If a person has a conscience, at the very least they should know without reading the law that bullying children seems to be wrong, yet many still do it. So sometimes we are confused," he said.

2. Ahmad Dhani Visits KPAI

Dhani's and his wife's visit to KPAI has a very clear purpose, which is to ensure that bullying against minors must not happen again. He hopes that this legal step can set a positive precedent and provide lessons for all internet users. Dhani sincerely hopes that this case can serve as a serious warning.

"So, our visit here is to ensure that bullying against children, minors, must not happen again," he asserted.

Mulan Jameela's husband hopes that this case will make netizens learn a lesson, and those proven to violate child protection laws will be prosecuted. Mr. Dhani is serious about his threat to bring the perpetrators to the criminal realm.

"So, hopefully this case can make netizens learn a lesson, with this incident, we will imprison those who have violated the Child Rights Law," he stated.

4. Rejecting Apology from Lita Gading

When asked about the possibility of an apology for Lita Gading, Dhani firmly rejected it. He reasoned that Lita Gading's status as a psychiatrist or psychologist should make her more aware of the psychological impact of bullying. Dhani feels that a professional should not act in such a manner.

"There is no (apology). Because she has already claimed to be a psychiatrist, psychologist, that’s her fate. If the netizens have low education, we can forgive them," he said.

5. Compare the Case of Lita Gading with Other Netizens

Dhani compared the case of Lita Gading with the cases of other netizens who have lower education levels, some of whom have already apologized after being contacted. He explained that for netizens who indeed have limited educational backgrounds, he can still offer forgiveness, like in some cases of migrant workers who have been identified.

"Some have been contacted, we have identified them, and many have asked for forgiveness. We see migrant workers, well, we can forgive them. Many of them indeed have low education, so we forgive them. But if they claim to be psychiatrists, psychologists, there is no (forgiveness)," he explained.

6. This Case Becomes a Lesson for Society

Dhani emphasized that this case also serves as a lesson for the wider community, especially for those with higher education. He urged all parties to protect children from all forms of violence, both psychological and physical. Mr. Dhani hopes this will encourage all of us to be more caring.

"This is for future learning so that we as a more educated society than them must protect children from violence against children, both psychological and physical," he concluded.

Regarding his daughter's condition as a victim, Dhani is grateful that the child can accept the explanation well. He explained that his daughter, who is now 14 years old, already has rational thinking, making it easier for her to understand the situation. Dhani feels relieved because his child can digest the information he provided.

"Yes, there is, fortunately, I managed to provide it, this child is 14 years old, can already accept rational things, so her mind is already rational, so we just need to explain, you know, there are slanders, so this is how it is," Dhani emphasized his approach.
