Kapanlagi.com - Senior artist Rima Melati passed away after undergoing intensive treatment at RSPAD Gatot Subroto Jakarta Pusat on Thursday (23/6) yesterday. Rima Melati's son, Aditya Tumbuan, said that his mother had been experiencing declining health for a long time. Even before she passed away, the AKU BENCI KAMU film player had already undergone two treatments at different hospitals.

"The first time she was admitted, Rima had an infection from a wound on her back, her back. The infection caused her to have a high fever. Then we took her to the hospital, straight to the ICU, where she was treated for about two weeks," said Aditya Tumbuan at Rumah Duka Sentosa, RSPAD Gatot Subroto, Jakarta Pusat, on Thursday night (23/6).

1. Infection Spreads to Vital Organs

From the wound suffered by Rima Melati, it turns out that several other diseases have emerged in her vital organs. From there, Rima Melati's health deteriorated further, so she had to be taken to RSPAD Gatot Subroto for further treatment since June 7, 2022.

"It turns out that there is another infection that spreads from the first infection, which is the lungs. The lungs began to fill with water and had to be suctioned. From there, it sequentially spread to the kidneys. And from there, my mother had to undergo dialysis seven times while at RSPAD. The results did stabilize her, but sometimes it's the age that makes her struggle. So, she's stable, but sometimes she drops," said Aditya.

2. Already Accepting the Departure of Her Mother

As a child, Aditya sincerely accepted the passing of his mother. Aditya was fortunate enough to accompany his mother in her final moments before she left forever.

"Today, I was with my mother before she took her last breath. I was by her side. We all have to accept it, be strong, and my wife and I, especially me, believe that life there is much better than here, and God loves my mother more now than when she was here," he said.
