Insanul Fahmi Wants the Adultery Case to be Delayed, Police: Legal Process Will Continue!

"So it is true that earlier Mr. IF sent a letter to the investigator regarding the postponement or suspension of the processing of the case. Yes, we convey that the investigator remains professional. In this case, the report from the reporter WM will still be followed up professionally," emphasized Kompol Andaru Rahutomo when met at Polda Metro Jaya, South Jakarta, Thursday (05/03/2026).

The background of this case began with a report from Wardatina Mawa (WM), the first legitimate wife of Insanul Fahmi, who reported her husband and Inara Rusli for alleged adultery. The report has entered the investigation stage and the police continue to gather evidence.

Kompol Andaru emphasized that as long as there is no official withdrawal of the report from Wardatina Mawa as the reporter, the police are obliged to resolve this case in accordance with the applicable legal procedures. The request for postponement will be reviewed, but if it does not have a strong legal basis in criminal procedural law, the investigation will continue.

"Until now, the investigators have not received any attempts to withdraw the report; there has been a withdrawal of the report from sister WM, so what the investigators are doing is remaining professional in following up on the existing report," he said.

The police also provided the latest update regarding the developments in this case. Last week, the investigators examined two additional witnesses presented by the party of Wardatina Mawa. The witnesses are claimed to have knowledge of the adultery incident reported by the first wife of Insanul.

In addition to witness examinations, the police are also conducting digital forensic examinations of the evidence that has been seized related to Insanul Fahmi and Inara Rusli. This process is important to strengthen the evidence before moving on to the next stage. 

"Well, updating again, last week two additional witnesses were also examined who, according to the reporter, know about the reported adultery incident. Well, the plan is that there will be another examination next week," said Kompol Andaru.

"Now the investigators are calling witnesses and collecting evidence including forensic digital examinations of the evidence received by the investigators," he concluded.
