Lawyer Reza Gladys Refutes Nikita Mirzani's Settlement Claim

The civil lawsuit hearing of Nikita Mirzani against Reza Gladys is being held again with the agenda of evidence presentation. In the midst of a heated debate regarding the validity of the written evidence, Reza Gladys' legal team highlighted a crucial point regarding the claim of 'agreement' alleged by Nikita Mirzani's side.

Nikita's side argued that the actions taken by their client were based on a mutual agreement, referring to the statement of Dr. Mufid in the previous criminal trial. However, this argument was immediately dismissed outright by Ravi Unggul, one of Reza Gladys' legal team.

"I just want to add a little. The clearest evidence related to this case is the statement from Dr. Mufid in the trial of that criminal case, where Dr. Mufid said that it was an agreement. Well, that is what makes the basis of their lawsuit at this time is that this is an agreement," explained Ravi Unggul when met at the South Jakarta District Court on Tuesday (24/2/2026).

The background of this debate refers to the decision of the High Court in the related criminal case. Ravi emphasizes that although there are elements of an agreement, if it was made under pressure or threat, then legally it is still categorized as a crime, not a valid civil agreement.

"Actually, we all know that in the considerations of the High Court's decision, it is indeed stated that there is an agreement. But an agreement made under threat constitutes an element of a crime. So if they believe that this is still an agreement, that has already been answered in the considerations of the judges in the criminal case," added Ravi.

In addition to refuting the agreement arguments, Reza Gladys' legal team also questioned the quality of the documentary evidence submitted by Nikita. They stated that the majority of the evidence is merely photocopies that can be easily obtained anywhere, making its evidentiary value very weak.

"A copy of a copy like this. The media can also take photocopies anywhere. For example, if this media wants to attend the trial, they can take a photocopy of my diploma, right? The original diploma is unknown where it is. So, that photocopy, just forget it, okay?" said Surya Batubara sarcastically.

The Reza Gladys side is optimistic that the panel of judges will act wisely in assessing the evidence presented. They believe that photocopy evidence without the original will not be strong enough to win the PMH lawsuit filed by Nikita.

"But we are confident and believe that the panel of judges is very wise in this matter. It is not that easy to consider evidence of a copy from this copy," concluded Robert Par Uhum.

This case will continue to unfold with the evidence presentation agenda from Reza Gladys in the next hearing. The public is also waiting to see how the legal dispute between these two public figures will progress.
