This year's Ramadan is a special moment for the famous YouTuber Ria Ricis. The reason is, her only daughter, Cut Raifa Aramoana, or commonly called Moana, is starting to learn to fast.

Ricis admits she is very enthusiastic about her child's first fasting experience, even though her age is still considered young. In a recent interview, the woman born on July 1, 1995 revealed that she has started introducing the concept of fasting to Moana long ago.

Ricis explained simply that fasting is to refrain from hunger and thirst from dawn until sunset, as well as to maintain behavior.

"So a few days before the first day of fasting, I had already informed her, I also affirmed that fasting means we don't eat or drink from the Fajr prayer until the Maghrib prayer," she said when met in the Jagakarsa area, South Jakarta, on Wednesday (18/2/2026).

Moana's response turned out to be very positive. The adorable child was even excited to want to imitate her mother. Ricis recounted that Moana often pays attention to the people around her who are worshiping, which sparked her desire to participate.

"She understands, she even said, 'Okay Moana wants to try, Moana wants to try. Moana wants to be like Mom, Moana wants to be like Mom,'" said the former wife of Teuku Ryan, imitating her child's words.

Even so, Ricis does not force Moana to fast completely. She lets the learning process happen naturally. Ricis even shared a funny story when Moana wanted to eat again even though she was actually full, just because she saw other people breaking their fast or having sahur.

"For example, like last year when breaking fast together, she also wanted to join. Even though she already ate, sometimes she eats again," she explained while laughing.

Ricis has also not promised any special reward if Moana successfully fasts. For her, worship should be based on intention for Allah, not for a reward. However, she does not rule out the possibility of giving appreciation if her daughter achieves that accomplishment.
