Shocking news comes from the global music industry. The main producer behind the success of the girl group XG, Simon Jakops aka Junho Sakai, has reportedly been arrested in Japan for alleged drug possession. This arrest has caused a stir among the public as it involves a big name behind the rising group.
According to reports from Japanese media, Simon was secured on February 23 after police received an anonymous tip regarding alleged cocaine use in a hotel in Aichi Prefecture. The case is currently still under further investigation.

Based on information from the investigative team, Simon Jakops was arrested along with three others. They are suspected of storing several bags of cocaine in the hotel room where they were staying.
The Narcotics and Firearms Investigation Division reportedly acted quickly after receiving an anonymous tip. During the search, police found four bags of cocaine and dry cannabis, which were then seized as evidence.

Several Japanese media outlets reported that the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department has detained Simon and three other suspects on suspicion of violating Japan's Narcotics Control Act.
This case certainly has a significant impact on the image of the entertainment industry, especially since Simon is a central figure behind XG. Until now, there has been no further official statement from the agency regarding the developments in this case.

Simon Jakops is known as the main producer and founder of the XGALX label. He began his career as a musician in 2009 and was active as an idol before focusing on becoming a producer in 2014.
