Kapanlagi.com - Marcell Chandrawinata shared his experience while participating in a comedy event during Ramadan. Although he felt nervous, he enjoyed the moment as a new experience in the entertainment world.
"The spontaneity is the hard part. If it's already thought out, we know what to say. But if it's suddenly on the spot, that's sometimes difficult," said Marcell when met on Jalan Kapten Tendean, Mampang, South Jakarta, recently.
According to Marcell, working with professional comedians is a unique challenge. He has to learn to adapt to their fast-paced and spontaneous work rhythm.
"Suddenly, 'what segment are we on now?' 'We're on segment three.' Wait, I'm still reading in segment one," he said while laughing.
However, he feels happy to be part of a show that entertains many people during the month of Ramadan. He also admits to being impressed by the work ethic of his friends who are still fasting.
"They are already masters. I'm just helping out, if they need someone to laugh at, then I'll laugh by myself," he joked.
For Marcell, comedy is not just about being funny, but also about the skill to improvise. He feels this is a special talent that not everyone possesses.
"What's important is that we can make people happy. That's the most important thing," he added.
Marcell hopes that this experience can help him better understand the broader entertainment world. He also feels fortunate to learn directly from experienced comedians.
"I hope I can continue to learn and grow. Because what matters is giving the best for the audience," he concluded.
