Jonathan Frizzy alias Ijonk Allegedly Becomes the Organizer of Etomedite Smuggling via WhatsApp Group

Kapanlagi.com - The Chief of Soekarno Hatta Airport Police, Kombes Pol Ronald F.C Sipayung, revealed the active role of actor Jonathan Frizzy, also known as Ijonk, in a smuggling network involving the substance etomedite. Ijonk is suspected of being the initiator as well as the organizer of the shipment of the illegal goods from Malaysia to Jakarta.

"Yes, based on the examination of the digital evidence that we seized from the suspects, it is evident that the person who created this WhatsApp group named 'Departure WhatsApp Group' is JF," said Kombes Ronald at a press conference on Monday (5/5/2025).

In the WhatsApp group consisting of suspects ER, TBR, EDS, and Jonathan Frizzy himself, complete coordination was conducted regarding the technical aspects of smuggling the substance classified as a psychotropic.

1. Main Director

"Yes, in this group, a process was then carried out to discuss and arrange for the transportation of this etomedite substance from Malaysia to Jakarta," Ronald explained further.

Not only did he create the group, but Ijonk was also mentioned as the main director in the departure process, ticket arrangements, and the accommodation rental for the couriers. In fact, when the goods were detected at customs, Jonathan was said to be actively giving instructions in the group.

"Yes, in the process of bringing it to Jakarta, JF also conducted supervision and control, because initially, when this goods entered, it was subjected to a detailed inspection by customs," said Ronald.

2. Become a Suspect

The police have named Jonathan Frizzy as a suspect following a case presentation involving investigators, digital forensics, and statements from other suspects. Previously, Jonathan had been questioned as a witness on April 17, 2025.

"Yes, as of May 3, 2025, based on the results of the case presentation conducted by the Narcotics Unit investigators, JF has been designated as a suspect in the health law case," said Ronald.

The arrest of Jonathan took place on Sunday afternoon, May 4, 2025, in the Bintaro area, South Tangerang.

3. Not Yet Detained

"Yes, the arrest of JF took place last Sunday night. Specifically, it was around 6 PM to 7 PM, in the Bintaro area," he added.

However, until now, Jonathan has not been detained due to health reasons. The police stated that his condition is not yet suitable for undergoing further intensive questioning.

"Yes, physically JF is not allowed to move, not allowed to engage in many activities, so for humanitarian reasons, we cannot present brother JF and further questioning is still being conducted," Ronald concluded.
