Kak Seto Remembers the Figure of Titiek Puspa: No Day Without Creativity

"Yes, I am very shocked because 2 weeks before she was declared unconscious after shooting, I still met her when I was having cataract surgery on my left eye, she was there for a check-up," said Kak Seto when met at RS Mayapada, Jalan Jendral Gatot Subroto, South Jakarta, Thursday (10/4/2025).

According to Kak Seto, Eyang Titiek was not only a legendary artist but also an inspirator who always encouraged him to keep creating, regardless of age and condition.

"She embraced me and whenever we met, she always motivated me to keep creating, so even though she was advanced in age, she still created; that is one piece of advice from her that I hold on to," he said.

1. Kak Seto Mulyadi Feels the Loss

Kak Seto also heard conflicting reports about Eyang Titiek's condition before finally confirming it himself at the funeral home.

"And earlier I heard that news was somewhat disputed, no, no. This afternoon it suddenly turned out to be true, we went to Gatot Soebroto to the funeral home to get information," he explained.

Unfortunately, Kak Seto could not accompany the funeral directly because the next day he had to go to Makassar. "Tomorrow I have to go to Makassar, I regret that I cannot accompany to the funeral," he said.

Eyang Titiek's figure will always be remembered by Kak Seto as a person who consistently spread the spirit of creativity and artistry. "I learned creativity from him. There is no day without creativity," he reminisced.

"Inna lillahi wa inna illaihi raji'un.. I extend my deepest condolences on the passing of Eyang Titiek Puspa at the age of 87. I have fond memories of meeting her about 2 weeks ago when I was checking my eyes at the clinic; Eyang Titiek was also having an eye examination. It was a joy to meet her in such an unexpected opportunity.. We even managed to chat and joke around. It is with sadness that I learned that today, Thursday, April 10, 2025, Eyang Titiek has passed away. Farewell, beloved Eyang Titiek Puspa! We will truly miss your exemplary nature and creativity, the joy and laughter we shared with dear Eyang Titiek. Farewell, my Teacher," wrote Kak Seto in the caption of his post.
