Kept Secret for Years, Revealed If Glenn Fredly Ever Became a Backing Vocal for This Band

"There is one really memorable memory between Project Pop and Glenn. So I once posted on my Instagram story saying that there are too many memories of Project Pop with Glenn Fredly," said Tika Panggabean during an Instagram live with @cgv.id, on Thursday (16/4).

One of the things Tika Panggabean remembers is when Glenn Fredly became a trademark in Project Pop's song, Bukan Superstar. In that song, Gugum Project Pop parodied Glenn Fredly's figure.

"One, because Gugum always parodied Glenn and it became Gugum's trademark, to the point where in the song Bukan Superstar, there's a part where people say I resemble Glenn Fredly. It even became one of our hits," she continued.

1. Glenn Fredly Once Became Backing Vocal for Project Pop

Not only that, many people do not know that Glenn Fredly once became backing vocal in several songs of Project Pop.

“Secondly, when we made our third album in 2003, the Pop Ok album, if you have heard the songs Ingatlah Hari Ini or Adekku Sayang, those were backed vocals by Glenn Fredly and Rio Febrian,” said Tika Panggabean.

2. Years of Secret

Tika Panggabean recently revealed this. Tika Panggabean said that at that time, collaboration between musicians with different labels was very difficult. So they chose to keep it a secret.

“This is a fun fact that we have kept secret for years until they left their current label and we left our old label. We only dare to open up now because at that time, collaboration between labels was not easy. Only now we talk about the memories and that Glenn once became a backing vocal for Project Pop,” she concluded.
