The man, who is also known as a close friend of Celine Evangelista, has indeed made a significant shift to become a reliable event entrepreneur.
This news came to light after Maruef Ashary was involved in a grand event, namely the Introduction to Campus Life for New Students (PPKMB) 2025 at Trisakti University. The event, held on August 25-26, serves as tangible proof of the business success he has built.
At the event attended by thousands of new students, Maruef did not appear as a guest star, but rather as an important figure behind the scenes. He was the main contractor who provided various vital needs for the smooth running of the event.
When contacted by phone on Friday (29/8/2025), Maruef explained his role. "As a vendor contractor for the procurement of AC tents and everything. If the vendor has a personal touch," he revealed.
The business he runs is apparently not a new thing. He admitted to having been active in the supply of goods for events for more than a decade. "I've been in the vendor procurement business for 14 years," Maruef continued.

The scale of the event he handled is quite significant. The PPKMB Trisakti event was attended by around 3,000 new students and was enlivened by the presence of several important figures, including ministers and comedians.
"Yes, there were indeed ministers and some comedians as well," he explained. One of the attendees was the Minister of MSMEs, Maman Abdurahman, who is also an alumnus of the university.
Maruef's involvement in this project turns out to have a personal touch as well. In addition to winning the tender, there is a family connection that made him even more determined to participate.
"One of the reasons is because his brother graduated from Trisakti, he was asked to help, but initially it was because they won the tender too. Only when his brother happened to hear he was asked to join directly to be involved in the event," he said.
