Marissa Haque's Career Journey, from an Actress who Once Won the Citra Award to Becoming a Lecturer and Politician - Passed Away Just Before Turning 62

Marissa Haque is an actress, politician, and entrepreneur from Indonesia whose career has spanned more than three decades. She began her career in the entertainment world in the 80s as an actress in several popular Indonesian films. Her appearance on the big screen was warmly welcomed by audiences due to her natural acting talent and her ability to portray diverse characters. 

A series of film titles she starred in, one of the most popular being TINGGAL LANDAS BUAT KEKASIH. Her excellent performance in that film earned her the Citra Award for Best Supporting Actress at FFI 1985.

In addition to acting, Marissa also ventured into the field of education by continuing her studies to the master's and doctoral levels. She obtained an MBA from the Faculty of Economics and Business, Gadjah Mada University. Subsequently, she earned her doctorate from the Environmental Studies Center at Bogor Agricultural University.

Marissa is actively researching halal management & Islamic lifestyle. She has even written a textbook about the journey of the halal industry and product assurance in Indonesia. Until the end of her life, Marissa continued to teach, one of which was at the Indonesia Banking School. 

Her formal education became the foundation for Marissa's next steps in the political world, where she became one of the actresses who successfully ventured into academia and politics, establishing herself as a public figure with integrity and credibility.

In addition, Marissa Haque is also known for having a harmonious family life. She married Ikang Fawzi in 1986 and has two daughters.
