Mawar AFI Grateful for Custody of Child, Still Gives Space for Ex-Husband to Meet Their Child

Kapanlagi.com - Now a single mom, Mawar AFI is grateful for being granted custody of her child after her husband, Steno's appeal was rejected. However, Mawar herself is not sure whether Steno will file for cassation regarding custody of their child.

"After he lost in the first level, he appealed. Finally, I won, Alhamdulillah. So now the children are officially with me. There is an appeal but he lost and I won. I don't think there will be cassation, Alhamdulillah," said Mawar AFI at XXI Metropole, Central Jakarta, on Monday (12/6/2023).

1. Ex-Husband Allowed to Meet Child

Despite being granted custody of their child, Mawar AFI still gives space for her ex-husband to meet their child.

"If the communication is only about when he wants to pick up the child, that's it. But it's been almost a month since the children have seen their father," she said.

2. Never Prohibited

Mawar said that she never limited Steno from meeting their children. However, the third-place winner of the AFI competition was slightly disappointed with her ex-husband's attitude.

"If I forbid him, no, because he also wants to pick up the children next Sunday. But because next Sunday is the report card distribution for their eldest," she said.

"So the second and third ones, the second one is graduating and moving up a grade in the new academic year, so they can't meet again, because their father didn't offer or ask for any school activities, so that's it," added Mawar.

3. Don't Want Children's Academics to Be Disrupted

Mawar also doesn't mind if the children want to be with their father. The most important thing is that her ex-husband doesn't disturb the learning process of their child in school.

"If the schedule is automatically on the weekend because the children go to school with me. Anyway, as long as it doesn't interfere during school, doesn't skip classes, it's not a problem. They can go to their father's during every holiday," she concluded.
