Mediation of the Former Domestic Worker Case, Erin Rejects Allegations of Holding Items

Kapanlagi.com - The civil trial between Rien Wartia Trigina or Erin and her former domestic assistant, Nur Rohmah, is back on the agenda for mediation at the South Jakarta District Court on Wednesday (8/5/2026). In this meeting, Erin's side presented a peace proposal that sparked a response from the plaintiff's side.

Basuki, representing Nur Rohmah, stated that the mediation document contains a rebuttal against the allegations of holding several personal items belonging to his client, which is the core of the lawsuit. "The important point we read and studied briefly is that what we conveyed regarding the holding, physical possession of the ID card, the mobile phone, and the items left behind including an ATM, clothing, and bags, is not acknowledged as being held by them," said Basuki when met at the South Jakarta District Court on Wednesday (8/5/2026).

The plaintiff's side expressed surprise at this rebuttal because the matter of holding documents and electronic items is the main issue raised. According to them, the mentioned items were indeed left at Erin's residence.

1. Erin's Mediation Proposal: Deny the Seizure of Documents and Cell Phones

In the proposal submitted at the mediation agenda, Erin's side asserted that they did not seize the ID card, cell phone, or other belongings of Nur Rohmah. This stance contrasts with the claim in the lawsuit that places the issue of physical possession of the items as the main concern.

According to the plaintiffs, the items in question include identification documents and electronic devices as well as other left-behind items such as ATM cards, clothes, and bags. They stated that the content of the proposal was quite surprising because it is not in line with the condition of the items, which are believed to still be at Erin's residence.

"The items are with them, but they do not acknowledge that they are seized," said Basuki.

2. Plaintiffs: Left Items at Erin's House Still Under Control

Nur Rohmah's side expressed confusion over the denial. They believe that the disputed items are clearly left at the house of Andre Taulany's ex-wife and state that the physical possession by Erin's side is evident.

Explanations regarding the position of the items, ranging from ID cards and cell phones to ATM cards, clothes, and bags, were provided to strengthen the claim that the essence of the lawsuit stems from the issue of physical possession of documents and personal belongings.

This statement was made after the plaintiffs read and briefly studied the mediation proposal submitted during the session at the South Jakarta District Court.

3. Salary, Losses, and Expectations of Good Faith from Nur Rohmah's Side

In addition to the issue of goods, the mediation proposal also touches on the salary rights that Erin's side believes are not yet due. Basuki conveyed his side's response to that part. "Both salary issues, not yet eligible for salary for various reasons. Then other matters regarding material and immaterial losses, especially those that are not acknowledged," he said.

Along with that, the claims for material and immaterial losses presented in the lawsuit are also stated to be unacknowledged by Erin's side in the same mediation document.

Nevertheless, Nur Rohmah's side stated that they continue to prioritize good faith and demand the rights that should be received by their client. "Here, it is only rights, rights, and good faith that we hope for. That's it. As for money and other matters, well, that's a form of accumulation from one event," concluded Basuki.

The plaintiff's side emphasizes that their focus is on fulfilling rights after Nur Rohmah no longer works at Erin's house, in line with the mediation process that is still ongoing at the South Jakarta District Court.
