Mediation Regarding the Issue of Premarital Pregnancy, Thariq and Aaliyah Massaid Continue the Case Despite the Accused Having Apologized

Kapanlagi.com - Thariq Halilintar and Aaliyah Massaid attended an invitation from the Metro Jaya Police on Wednesday (2/10/2024) to respond to a report regarding allegations of pregnancy before marriage. The celebrity couple appeared with their legal counsel to mediate with one of the account owners who spread the issue.

Sangun Ragahdo, the attorney for Thariq and Aaliyah, explained that this mediation process is in accordance with the Joint Ministerial Decree regarding allegations of ITE violations that require resolution through mediation before the case can proceed to investigation.

"Therefore, we and Aaliyah, also as victims, respect the applicable law and thus comply with that summons," said Sangun at the Metro Jaya Police.

During the mediation, the reported party explained the reasons behind the post that was deemed harmful to Aaliyah. Sangun stated that the reported party expressed regret and apologized for the actions taken.

"So basically, he explained why one of the accounts we reported made that post. He said he felt guilty because this has been reported for quite some time now, and finally, we filed a report to the police,” explained Ragahdo.

2. Continue the Legal Case

Although mediation has taken place, his client remains committed to continuing this legal process until it is resolved. Sangun emphasized that Aaliyah's report has been processed by the police for about a month.

"Because we agreed to file a police report about a month ago, we are leaving it to the investigators to process it accordingly. In accordance with the applicable law,” he explained.

Even though they have met with the reported party and received an apology, Thariq still seems hurt by the actions. The evidence is that he chose to continue the case.

"Well, what husband would accept his wife being treated like that, so it’s a bit emotional," he concluded.
