Medina Zein Claims to be Bipolar Due to Genetic Parents, Her Mother Denies

Kapanlagi.com - Based on the assessment results, entrepreneur Medina Zein has been determined to undergo a three-month rehabilitation process. This is due to the amphetamine-containing medication she has been taking for bipolar disorder since 2016, based on a doctor's referral.

The mother of two children explained that her bipolar disorder is genetic, inherited from her mother. "I have had bipolar disorder since 2016 and it is indeed genetic. So, my mother also had bipolar disorder before," said Medina during a press release at the Narcotics Investigation Directorate of the Metro Jaya Regional Police, South Jakarta, on Friday (3/1/2020).

1. Mother's Denial

When the bipolar statement expressed by Medina Zein as inherited from her mother was confirmed, the opposite was revealed. Tien Wartini said she never had such a history.

"No, there isn't because I had hypothyroidism before and the doctor declared me cured when Medina was in first grade of junior high school," said Tien when met while picking up Medina and taking her to her rehabilitation place.

2. Easily Angered Confessions

Furthermore, Tien Wartini admitted that she already knew that Medina Zein was taking medication. This is because her child couldn't rest. Medina also once told her that she often suddenly gets easily angry and weak.

"I knew from the beginning, from four months ago, before taking it she asked for permission, her medication was photographed. Maybe she was afraid of being judged. (Regarding bipolar) she said herself 'Mom, why do I easily get sad, easily get angry, sometimes want to sleep, feel weak, what should I do?'. I asked 'So what do you want, dear? Maybe you lack remembrance, you have missed many prayers', she answered 'Maybe I should go to the doctor'. 'Alright, then where should we go, when should I take you, dear?'. But it seems she went to the doctor with her assistant," she concluded.
