Medina Zein Reported to the Police for Alleged Threats When Asked for Debt Payment

Kapanlagi.com - Medina Zein was reported by her business partner named Samira to the Jakarta Metro Police on Thursday (16/9/2021) with allegations of making threats.

The report from Samira is registered with the number LP 4590/IX/2021/SPKT/Polda Metro Jaya, September 16, 2021.

According to Ahmad Ramzy, Samira's legal representative, the police report originated from the business relationship between Medina Zein and his client in 2018.

At that time, Medina Zein received assistance from Samira's husband, who is a flight ticket agent.

"Samira is the wife of Ibrahim, Mr. Baim, who is a flight ticket agent, and MZ and her husband have a travel agency. At that time, the travel agency was financed for umrah departure tickets totaling Rp 240 million," said Ahmad Ramzy when contacted by reporters on Friday (17/9/2021).

1. Check Becomes Collateral

To obtain a bail from Samira's husband, Medina Zein pledged a check. However, after the ticket was given, the check could not be cashed.

"The check cannot be cashed, that's why the collection was made. The one who collected here is Mr. Baim's wife, because Mr. Baim is a man, his wife has the authority to collect from MZ," said Ahmad Ramzy.

In the process of collecting the debt, Samira, according to Ahmad Ramzy, received curses and threats from Medina Zein.

"When collecting, MZ's anger was even greater than the collector's. MZ used threatening words, saying that he didn't want to pay, he said he would throw the money in Samira's face, he said he would put Samira in jail, be prepared with an orange jumpsuit, ready to eat dry rice. Bring boiled noodles," Ahmad Ramzy recounted Medina Zein's curses.

2. Criminal Elements Exist

Not accepting it, Samira reported Medina Zein to the Jakarta Metro Police because she believed there were criminal elements in Medina Zein's actions.

"Finally, we decided to file a police report regarding the threats. The articles we reported are Article 335 of the Criminal Code, and also threats under the ITE Law," he said.

According to Ahmad Ramzy, Medina Zein still owes Rp 70 million. Samira once collected the debt through social media, imitating the way artist Rachel Vennya did it. Hoping that by doing so, Medina Zein would repay her debt.

"Since MZ made a fuss about the bag issue, Samira also collected through social media because Rachel Vennya did it that way and was immediately paid. But (MZ) said he wouldn't pay and threatened to report everything, because the other party felt their name was tarnished because (Samira) collected through social media. Samira, who was scared and worried, finally filed a police report," said Ahmad Ramzy.
