Peace Agreement with David NOAH, Lina Yunita Withdraws Allegations of Embezzlement of 1.1 Billion Funds

Kapanlagi.com - The efforts of the Jakarta Metro Police to facilitate a peaceful resolution to the dispute between Lina Yunita and David NOAH have reached a breakthrough.

They agreed to reconcile after David agreed to compensate Lina.

"Yes, today there has been a reconciliation. We have signed a peace agreement. So the case between Lina and David is resolved," said Lina Yunita's lawyer, Devi Waluyo, at the Jakarta Metro Police, Friday (10/9/2021).

When asked about the compensation payment made by David, Devi Waluyo refused to disclose the amount paid. She only said that David had paid in cash.

"That doesn't need to be disclosed (the amount paid by David), what's important is that we have signed the agreement," she said.

"First of all, it should be emphasized that this is not David's 100% responsibility. This is the responsibility of the corporation, so the reconciliation is also the result of David's personal good faith," added Hendra Prawira, David's legal representative.

1. Report Withdrawn

As a result of the peace agreement, Lina agreed to withdraw her report against David for alleged embezzlement of Rp 1.15 billion at the Jakarta Metropolitan Police.

"We, as the complainant, agree to withdraw the report. Hopefully, restorative justice can proceed according to the instructions of the Chief of Police and there will be no further legal action in the future," said Devi Waluyo.

In this settlement, David NOAH and Lina Yunita were not present. Both were represented by their respective lawyers. David was unable to attend due to work-related matters, while Lina Yunita was unable to attend due to illness.

As known, the case involving David began when David and his two friends sought assistance from Lina Yunita as the complainant to fund a shipbuilding project at his company, PT A, in 2019, amounting to Rp 1.15 billion.

David and his two friends promised to repay the money within 3-6 months. However, until the agreed deadline, David and his two friends had not yet returned the money.

As a result, David and his two friends were reported to the Jakarta Metropolitan Police. The report against David was registered with Number: LP/B/3761/VII/2021/SPKT Jakarta Metropolitan Police, dated August 5, 2021. David and his friends were reported under Article 372 and Article 378 of the Penal Code.
