More Than Five Witnesses Examined in the Ruben Onsu Case, Evidence of Bounced Checks Submitted

The investigation process of the alleged fraud and embezzlement case involving Ruben Onsu (RSO) at the South Jakarta Metro Police continues. The legal counsel for the complainant, Ahmad Ramzy, provided the latest updates regarding the witness examinations that have been conducted by the investigators.

"There have been many witnesses. A lot. If I’m not mistaken, we might have more than five witnesses," he revealed during a press conference in the South Jakarta area on Thursday (27/8).

According to Ramzy, the number of witnesses who have been questioned since the investigation began has exceeded five people. The examinations are conducted by the South Jakarta Metro Police investigators as part of handling his client’s report.

Ahmad Ramzy stated that the witnesses have been summoned and questioned by investigators regarding allegations of fraud involving an investment collaboration. He emphasized that the testimonies of the witnesses come from the reporting party.

The number of witnesses that have been examined is reported to exceed five individuals. Their statements become part of the materials for investigators in delving into the construction of the reported case.

In addition to witnesses, investigators are also reviewing the evidence submitted. The large number of witnesses that have been examined is said to be one of the supporting factors for investigators in the process of determining the suspect status against Ruben Onsu.

Ramzy emphasized that his side has submitted a number of pieces of evidence to the investigators, including documents that serve as the basis for the collaboration between his client and Ruben Onsu in the investment.

"Yes, we have clearly submitted all the evidence to the investigators. There are many pieces of evidence. It is clear that investigators will establish someone as a suspect based on at least two pieces of evidence. Including checks (that are empty)," he explained.

In addition to the written documents that form the basis of the collaboration, one of the highlighted pieces of evidence is a check that is suspected to have no funds or is empty. All of this evidence is claimed to be in the hands of the investigators for review according to regulations.

3. Chronology of the Report to Investigation

This case began with a report made by Ramzy's client at the South Jakarta Metro Police on August 22, 2025. The report was related to alleged fraud in a healthy food business investment.

After a series of initial steps were taken, the case officially escalated from the investigation stage to a more in-depth inquiry on April 15, 2026. The subsequent investigation process then led to the designation of Ruben Onsu as a suspect.

The case of alleged investment fraud involving the presenter continues to be monitored by the public. Given Ruben Onsu's status as a widely recognized figure in the entertainment industry, developments in the investigation at the South Jakarta Metro Police have garnered attention.
